How technology can change the way doctor's work with patients?

Doctor's face a variety of patients at their doorstep, some come through references, some through appointments, some through walk-ins. Imagine yourself being a doctor and sitting with hundreds of patients sitting outside, and you engage yourself into a discussion with your patient who you may be knowing one well enough. There would be a big queue of patients waiting desperately for their number!...

Imagine if patients could call up and fix their appointments and that could be digitized? That sounds weird, right? The answer is NO. In fact its a much better way, for Doctor's to manage their patients appointments and what was the course of History a patient had gone through. History of the patient may not be essential for patients who go through common cold, cough and daily problems. It can be essential for patients who are highly Diabetic, Blood Pressure, Heart issues which need to repeat their appointments...

I know, doctor's are a lot busy to use such devices to manage and schedule appointments, but just imagine the pain it would take for a patient to come all the way to the doc's clinic and then get disappointed to know that the Doc isn't going to come itself! Disappointing isn't it? What if the patient got an sms from the Doc's P.A or the Doc who has the time to use such an application, and he saves all the time and effort of coming all the way.

There are numerous way's to solve such issues, but one such way would be to use one of the newest apps launched on the Google Play store, that manages this issue with ease. In certain abroad countries, it has become compulsory to digitize patient records, although this may have not been adopted in certain Asian and other continents.

Doctor's can get a copy of it on your android devices and guess what? The app is absolutely free for you to test! You can share your reviews and feedbacks which the developers may incorporate in their next release. You never know, it might be really helpful!...

Goan Cusine and Delicacies

Goa is a land of 3 S's - Sun, Sand and Seafood! Goa is famous for its Seafood varieties - Fishy curry, Prawns Curry, Stuffed Crabs, Mussels fry, Garlic Butter Squids served with piping Steamed Pot Boiled Rice. Some of the outrageous delicacies in fish are Ambotic curry, Stuffed Pompfret with Reshad Masala cooked in Vinegar, Chicken cooked in Green Cafreal Masala and Prawns Moelho(Prawns Pickle).

The traditional Goan dishes are cooked in Coconut which are readily available in abundance in Goa. Coconut is used in dry vegetables, whereas in curry the juice is extracted after grinding the coconut and straining the juice to cook various delicacies in gravy/curry. Traditional rice dishes are cooked in earthen pots, which gives an aroma of the coconut ingredient that leaves you mouth-watering.

Though coconut contains high cholesterol levels, but the same is balanced by the fish which contains large quantities of Omega-3 which is very good for Heart Ailments. One of the rare delicacies in fish is fried in rawa and masala mixed together in shallow oil, served in banana leaves adding rich flavor of the masala and fish. In South Goa, some of the best joints/outlets who serve authentic Goan Seafood are Martin's Corner at Betalbatim, John's Seagull and Joet's at Bogmallo beach, Kentucky's at Colva beach and towards to the North Side are Hotel Souza Lobo at Calangute beach, Britto's at Baga beach, Florentine at Saleigao, and Hotel Fidalgo at Panjim.

In-spite of these famous joints, there are small shacks that serve authentic food, besides a number of other hotels and restaurants serving Multi-Cuisine delicacies. One should not miss out the local food when travelling to Goa as much as the fun-loving beaches.

IT & Its Benefits in Business

In general, IT (Information Technology) has brought about significant improvements in Business
operations and in the entire human life as whole.

Talking about Globalization, IT has not only brought the world closer together, but it has allowed the
world's economy to become a single interdependent system. This means that we can not only share
information quickly and efficiently, but we can also bring down barriers of linguistic and geographic
boundaries. The world has developed into a global village due to the help of information technology
allowing countries like who are not only separated by distance but also by language to shares ideas
and information with each other.

In communication, IT has helped to make communication cheaper, quicker, and more efficient. We
can now communicate with anyone around the globe by simply text messaging them or sending
them an email for an almost instantaneous response. The internet has also opened up face to face
direct communication from different parts of the world thanks to the helps of video conferencing.

IT has also brought about Cost Effectiveness by helping to computerize business processes thus
streamlining business to make them extremely cost effective money making machines. This in turn
increases productivity which ultimately gives rise to profits that means better pay and less strenuous
working conditions.

IT has also helped to bridge the cultural gap by helping people from different cultures to
communicate with one another, and allow for the exchange of views and ideas, thus increasing
awareness and reducing prejudice.

IT has also made it possible for businesses to be open 24 x7 all over the globe. This means that
a business can be open anytime anywhere, making purchases from different countries easier and
more convenient. It also means that you can have your goods delivered right to your doorstep with
having to move a single muscle.

Lastly, IT has helped in the creation of new and interesting jobs like Computer programming,
Systems analyzing, Hardware and Software developing and Web designing.

Now that business has become very competitive, there is the need to use IT to remain ahead and in
business. Good IT use can get you ahead of competitors.

Finally let’s not forget manpower in ensuring that IT is drives successfully in business, this can be
achieved by hiring the correct manpower which will in turn reap benefits for the entire organization.

Mining in Goa

Mining was a booming business and contributed a huge share in economy of GOA. Somewhere due to serious illegalities revealed by the SHAH COMMISSION the entire activities came to a grinding HALT.
This has caused a serious setback to the Various Agencies and vendors dependable directly or indirectly on this Business.
Barge & Truck owners have been seriously affected in this murky expose. Needless to mention it is now a passing the buck and each one wants to wash their hands off  of the illegalities having taken place over a span of more than 10 years.
It is a solution which has to come in sight to end this impasse rather than mud slinging which will not fetch any laurels or admiration. Unless all the effected parties and the Government agencies do not sit across and find a viable solution the water will continue to flow under the bridge and bring no relief.
The Hon chief Minister has been in the center of the controversy for no fault but only has been making a serious attempt to salvage the pride lost and bring back the lost glory by our State due to the Stigmatic libel of "Illegal Mining"
All said and done the earlier the ailment is arrested and treated the more relief it would bring to all the stake holders and economy comes on track and bring "cheers N Joy" across Goa.

All of us have to rise to this occasion and bury our differences and opinions to evolve a solution to this stalemate.

Start to a upcoming empire

My Name is Bhupinder Jeet Singh and im the son of a renown business man Tejinder Singh from Goa. It was those days in college that i would just loaf around the place and crack jokes here and there. For some reason the others would call me smart till today im clueless about that :O .

Finished my B.E. in computers from one of the famous colleges in Goa- Padre Conceicao College Of Engineering in the year 2011 and trust me it was one of the years i was really happy because i was free from shitty studies and boring exams :P . But that was just not the end of it as I UNFORTUNATELY decided to do my M.tech in Computer Science and Information Technology from MIT Manipal.

During the end of my college somewhere around my practical examination i got a news stating that i had cleared the Manipal examination and that was the most shocking day of my life lol. I am currently doing my M.tech , but now my college exams are over. I mean OVER! :D

I came to goa for my internship, was searching around for a company that would take me but there were none. All my friends had decided to go to the great MNC's in Bangalore,Delhi but i was keen on going to Pune but i couldn't get through because location preference was a problem. I hardly attended interviews and the one's i attended also i rejected lol. It was during this time that i landed in Goa that one of my good friends Shweta Nadkarni & Suprita Sinai Narvencar who were also my project member in B.E Final year helped me out alot :)

Mohsin one of my friends long back during 11th-12th had opened up a new company in Gitic Verna called Kaavay and i owe this internship to him. Slowly i started realizing that i too have a potential or rather that blood of a Entrepreneur and my dad had already plans of expanding his Banking Courier company called Swift Couriers and Logistics to IT but i was a bit apprehensive on that. Finally i decided to take it up and we interviewed almost 500 people in 2 days! That was one hell of a task as it included a lot of my friends too. In this time we realized that there are a lot of people unhappy with their work, some came for timepass and some wanted their skills to be utilized.

We selected our team from that and recruited about 18 people in addition to the logistics staff. This is how BLITS(Banking Logistics and IT Solutions) came into existence where we do everything related to IT and lot of other services and I am proud to be the CEO of BLITS.
